Cristiano Ronaldo - Portugal star confirms he is father to new twin boys
Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed that he is a new father to twins by revealing that he make anearly return from Russia to be with them.
Several reports suggest that Ronaldo is now a father to twins. According to Portuguese TV channel, SIC, the surrogate twins arrived on Thursday, June 8.
The 32-year-old has been silent on the issues but confirmed it on Wednesday, June 28 after Portugal’s exit from the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup.
The forward has been given permission to travel home immediately to be with his new children and will not be available for the third place match.
“I was in the service of the National Team, as it always happens, body and soul, even though I knew my two sons were born,” Ronaldo said in a statement on Facebook.
“Unfortunately, we have not been able to achieve the main sporting objective we wanted, but I am sure we will continue to give the Portuguese joy.
“The President of the Portuguese Football Federation and the National Selector had an attitude today that sensitized me and I will not forget.
“I am very happy to finally be able to be with my children for the first time.”
Ronaldo already has a seven-year-old son - Cristiano Ronaldo Jnr - and there are also rumours that his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez is five months pregnant.
